This article is regarding the management plan for the karri forest by the Forest Products Commission. Original article can be read here.
The Forest Products Commission (FPC) has developed a management plan for the karri forests. The plan, along with reference documents can be viewed on the FPC’s website.
The plan has been developed to meet the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) Controlled Wood standard (FSC-STD-30-010) and the associated FSC Australia’s High Conservation Values (HCVs) evaluation framework.
If you have an interest in the way our State’s karri forests are managed and how high conservation values and identified and protected you are welcome to submit your feedback to FPC. From time to time FPC undertakes consultation to seek information from stakeholders within designated timeframes in order to revise their plan. However, comments can be received on FPC’s plan at any stage and it will then be considered in future versions of the plan. If you would like to receive updates about the FPC’s management plan for the karri forest, then submit your details to FPC. More details can be found here
In addition, FPC is committed to ensuing effective stakeholder engagement. Stakeholders include anyone with an interest in or who may be impacted by any of FPC’s operations. You can read more about FPC’s stakeholder engagement, including their feedback and complaints process here.
